04.50

Posted by on Feb 16, 2015 in Blog | 0 comments

Went up 04.50 am this morning because I needed to be early at the hospital for my internship. It’s been a really long day so right now I’m really tired. Think I better start studying so I got time for a training session tonight… What else is happening? Next weekend I got nothing planned (except doing my homework and training), but the weekend after I’m going to Estonia open. Looking forward!

Dutch open.

So this year’s Dutch open didn’t really go as good as I wanted. I was out against a really good girl from Serbia, who in the match before beat Sandy Scordo (nr 2 at the senior Worlds). I had a really hard draw. I’m not satisfied at all with my performance, my best didn’t show at the tatami…. Now I’m back in Sweden, ready to train more.

Over and out.

Long day

Woke up at 05.45 am this morning, drove to the hospital, was there until 08.00 pm and then got home.. So tired right now. Went straight home for a short karate session, and after that I’v studied. Autoimmune diseases is what I’m reading about right now, like SLE, RA and so on. Really captured my interest 🙂

Short post, but gotta sleep…

Back in Sweden.

Right now I’m so tired after all the traveling from Zürich. Our flight was early so we had to go up at 04.00 am… Which is way too early for me haha. Anyway, I will let myself feel tired tonight when I’m going to sleep, now I wanna train, actually I think I will go to the gym with my dad.

Tomorrow I will be at the hospital all day. Right now we have like an internship where we get the opportunity to “be out in the field” to see and learn how it works. After that I will have a long training session in my dojo. Only 3 days left before the Swedish team is leaving for the Dutch open. Work hard train hard (as always).

Meanwhile I’m at my training you can watch these two short clips from the competition. The first one is from my first repechage match which I won with 5-0. And the second clip is from the turkish kata team’s bunkai (who won the european championships, with nothing less than 5-0 in the final). Enjoy.

7th.

So here I am. Done with this year’s european championships. I had a hard draw, were up against the silver medalist from the last World championships in the first round, which I lost. She went to the final so I got to the repecharge, there I won my my first match against Slovenia 5-0, and then I lost the match before the Bronze-match with 3-2 against England. The girl from England took the bronze at the worlds. This means I placed 7th. I wouldn’t say I am satisfied with my katas but it feels like I’m one step closer to my goal. I’m motivated, and I know I got what it takes to be the best. Right now I just wanna get back in my dojo and train. More trainings. Harder trainings.

On friday I’m going to Holland for Dutch open. I’m really looking forward. It’s all in.

Zürich

Posted by on Feb 5, 2015 in Blog | 0 comments

So we arrived in Zürich last night. The flight was ok, no problems. So we all went for dinner and then to bed. Slept like a baby haha

So today, the day before competition, we got no special plans. We got a training session at 16.00 and after that we’ll have dinner and then we’r just gonna chill at our rooms. I’m really looking forward until tomorrow. My body is feeling great so I’m just gonna give 110% and then we’ll see what happens.

Maybe if we got time we’ll take a look at the arena today. If we do, I’ll update with some pictures later. Btw Zürich is so cold. Everything is insanely expensive and the wind is freezing. The picture is from Istanbul last year… Need a little heat over here…

München

So these last days I have been training really hard. Been with my Sensei several days in a row. That means a lot of training, a lot of studying, and less time for the blog. But now I’m here again. Right now i’m in München. We are almost halfway to Zürich. As I wrote for a couple of weeks ago I’m selected to represent Sweden at this year’s U21 European championships, and that is where I’m heading right now.

Competition day is on friday 9.00. For those who like to follow the competition live, click on the link:

I’m really looking forward to the competition. Go hard or go home right…? I’m proud to once again represent Sweden.

I will update soon again….

Paris open 2015

I have been so busy these last two weeks, insanely busy. But now I’m back on track. At Uni we have started to read about the immunsystem again but this time with focus on the pathophysiology. This theme interests me so I think these coming weeks are gonna be hard but fun. As the topic of my post indicates I was in Paris this weekend. Won my first match against France, won also my second against Germany. But in my third match I lost against Italy.. Thought she would go to the final but she lost 3-2 in the match after.. It was a good first competition of 2015. Now I’m back home and training more, next week I will be in Schweiz for the U21 European Championships. WORK HARD
